LEWISTON, Maine - The Bates College football team sealed the 2015 CBB Championship with a 31-0 win over Bowdoin on Saturday at Garcelon Field.

The Bobcats improve to 2-5 while the Polar Bears fall to 1-6 this season.

How It Happened

• Bates carried a 14-0 lead into halftime thanks to a first-half touchdown run by Patrick Dugan and 27-yard pass from Dugan to Mark Riley.
• The Bobcats got a field goal to extend their lead early in the third quarter and then added a back-breaking 50-yard interception return for a touchdown by Trevor Lyons
• Bates added a fourth quarter touchdown run and held Bowdoin off the scoreboard for the remainder in the Polar Bears' first shutout loss of 2015

By The Numbers

• Bates accumulated 379 yards of total offense, including 265 on the ground. Patrick Dugan racked up 137 yards rushing and scored a touchdown to lead the Bobcats while also throwing for 114 yards on 9-13 passing
• Bowdoin was held to -6 yards rushing on the day and committed three turnovers in the loss
• Noah Nelson went 21-54 for 181 yards through the air for Bowdoin, finding Daniel Barone nine times for 71 yards and Nick Vailas eight times for 66 yards
• Henry Little had 12 tackles for the Polar Bears while Branden Morin added 11 and Cameron Rondeau finished with 10
