Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team swept Colby for the second time this season, this time in the conference match, 3-0 on Friday evening at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears, ranked fourth in New England, improve to 18-4 (8-1 NESCAC) and can clinch the top seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament with a win at Bates on Saturday.
How It Happened
- Bowdoin proved resilient, trailing at some point in all three sets but holding the Mules at bay to win by scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-19
- Tied at 25-25 in the first, Bowdoin won the final two points to take the win
- Bowdoin trailed Colby 22-21 in the second, but rallied to win the final four points
- The Polar Bears used a seven-point run to take command in the third set en route to the clincher
- Erika Sklaver had 12 kills to lead Bowdoin and added two blocks
- Christy Jewett had nine kills and 16 digs
- Quincy Leech dished out 40 assists in the win
- Katie Doherty had 15 digs while Lisa Sheldon added 14
