BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior Christy Jewett racked up 30 kills in a pair of victories on Friday night to become the school's all-time leader in career kills.

The mark highlighted a pair of 3-0 wins for the Polar Bears against Roger Williams and Clark on the opening night of the UMass Boston Invitational. Bowdoin improves to 15-4 this season with the regional victories.

The Record Breaker

• With Friday's performance raising her total to 1228, Jewett shatters the career record formerly held by Gillian Page '10 (1227)
• She recorded 12 kills in the win against Clark before putting home 18 against Roger Williams, taking the record on her final kill of the evening

Clark Match

• After a close first set, Bowdoin controlled the remainder of the match, winning by scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-17
• Jewett led all players with a dozen kills and also had 16 digs
• Quincy Leech added 31 assists while Katie Doherty had four service aces and 19 digs in the victory
• Clare Geyer had four aces while Michelle Albright (eight kills) and Sydney Salle (seven kills) also supplied the offense for Bowdoin

Roger Williams Match

• Jewett approached her season-high with a nearly-unstoppable 18-kill performance
• Albright added nine kills while Salle had six
• Quincy Leech had three kills and 33 assists in the victory
• Doherty posted a match-high 16 digs for the Polar Bears
