Box Score BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Babson women's soccer team scored with six minutes remaining in regulation to rally and down the Polar Bears 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference play.
The Beavers stretched their unbeaten streak to six games and sit at 10-2-3 on the season. Bowdoin drops its second game in as many days to fall to 5-4-1 overall.
How It Happened
- Babson's Olivia Kerester scored her first of two goals in the 24th minute to put the Beavers up 1-0. Kerester took a long ball feed from Kelsey Ford and took a touch around Bridget McCarthy before chipping a shot into the upper corner.
- Bowdoin evened the game with ten minutes remaining in the first half as Lauren McLaughlin headed in a goal from the far post off a service from Jill Rathke.
- Taylor Haist put Bowdoin ahead 18 minutes into the second half as her free kick bounced just outside the six-yard box and over the head of Elizabeth Mycock for the 2-1 lead.
- Babson scored a pair of goals in the final 17 minutes as Ford tapped home a rebound to even the game and Kerester scored the game-winner by burying a low shot inside the far post.
- Bowdoin held a 19-10 edge in shots and 6-2 corner kick advantage.
