Box Score CLINTON, N.Y. - Shannon Brady scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bowdoin College women's basketball team remained perfect in NESCAC play with a dominating 75-48 win at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears extended their win streak to a dozen games and improve to 15-2 (4-0 NESCAC) on the season. Hamilton falls to 9-7 (1-3 NESCAC).
Brady put home 10 of 17 shots and also had three blocks in the victory. She was joined in double figures by Sara Binkhorst, who had 15. Marle Curle had eight points and four assists while Kate Kerrigan had seven points, eight rebounds and three steals. Siena Mitman led a strong effort by the Bowdoin bench with seven points. Sam Graber led Hamilton with 17 points.
Bowdoin trailed in the early going, falling behind 11-3 after three minutes of play. But the Polar Bears roared back, on an 11-0 run to take the lead on a Binkhorst three-pointer and never trailed again. The Polar Bears opened up a 14-point lead by intermission, 42-28, and led by as many as 30 points in the second half en route to the win.
The Polar Bears shot 48.4% for the game and held Hamilton to just 23%. Bowdoin also owned a 51-34 edge on the glass, converting 15 second chance points and outscoring Hamilton in the paint 46-14.
Bowdoin will return to action on Tuesday evening at Husson for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
