CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the spring on Monday afternoon by defeating #26 Case Western, 6-3.
The Polar Bears (1-0) are ranked seventh in the lastest ITA Division III rankings.
Bowdoin trailed after doubles play, but dominated the singles competition to take the victory. After Samantha Stadler and Tiffany Cheng accounted for the lone Bowdoin doubles point at #3, the Polar Bears claimed five of six singles matches to clinch the win.
Kate Winingham (#1), Cheng (#2), Joulia Likhanskaia (#3), Stalder (#4) and Emma Chow (#6) each picked up victories in singles play.
