MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Members of the Bowdoin College men's squash team competed at the Division III Individual Tournament hosted this weekend by Wesleyan University.
Bowdoin had several strong showings, led by Matt Cooper, who bounced back from an early elimination in the A-bracket to win three-straight matches and claim the consolation crown in the A-division. First-year George Cooley also rebounded from a loss in the B-bracket to win consecutive matches and claim the Plate Division (B Consolation) bracket. Max Bearse won a pair of matches in the B-Division bracket, reaching the quarterfinals, before falling. He then claimed the Second Round consolation bracket with a pair of victories.
The Polar Bears are off until January, when they will return to the court at Amherst on January 9 at 2:30 p.m.
