BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team made its home debut with a resounding 3-0 exhibition win over the University of New Brunswick on Friday.

The result was never in doubt as the Polar Bears claimed the sweep by set scores of 25-14, 25-6, 25-10. The match marked the opening day of the Midcoast Classic. Bowdoin will play a pair of regional foes tomorrow in Morrell Gymnasium - Brandeis (11:00 a.m.) and Colby-Sawyer (1:00 p.m.).

Every healthy Polar Bear played in Friday night's win as Emma Patterson and Christy Jewett had six kills each. Audrey DeFusco had three aces while Quincy Leech earned 24 assists.
