Women's Tennis Remains Unbeaten With Shutout of Chapman

ORANGE, Calif. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team remained unbeaten with a 9-0 win over Chapman University 9-0 on Monday evening.

The Polar Bears (6-0) are currently ranked 10th in the latest Division III national poll.

Bowdoin grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead following doubles play thanks to wins from Emma Chow/Chantalle Lavertu (8-6), Emma Lewis/Kellen Alberstone (8-2) and Tiffany Cheng/Kate Winingham (8-2).

The Polar Bears continued to dominate in singles action, clinching the sweep without losing a set. Alberstone (6-0, 6-1), Lavertu (6-3, 6-0), Cheng (6-1, 6-2), Lewis (7-5, 6-2), Winingham (6-0, 6-0) and Chow (6-1, 6-0) took wins down the ladder for Bowdoin.

Bowdoin will make their NESCAC debut on Wednesday afternoon in California against Trinity.
