Women's Basketball Team Rolls To Non-Conference Victory at Husson

BANGOR, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team bounced back from consecutive losses with a dominating 70-29 road win at Husson on Tuesday evening.

Every player scored for the Polar Bears, who improve to 8-6 with the victory. Husson falls to 4-9 with the loss.

Kirsten Prue led the way for Bowdoin with ten points. Four other players scored nine points, including Kaitlin Donahoe, Shannon Brady, Siena Mitman and Megan Phelps. Brady also had eight rebounds and two blocks for the Polar Bears while Donahoe had six rebounds and four assists.

The Polar Bears were in complete control from the start, sprinting to a 13-1 lead and never trailing. Bowdoin held a 35-13 edge at the break and allowed just nine Husson field goals the entire game as they held the Eagles to just 18% shooting for the game.

The Polar Bears connected on 47% of their shots from the field and owned a 46-27 advantage on the glass.

Bowdoin will take to the road for a big NESCAC weekend. The Polar Bears will play at Amherst on Friday at 8:00 p.m. before traveling to play at Trinity on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
