Women's Soccer Scores Pair of Late Goals To Edge Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine - Morgan Woodhouse scored off a header with 9:25 left in the game to break a scoreless tie and lead Bowdoin College to a 2-0 victory over Colby College in NESCAC women's soccer Saturday.
 
The Polar Bears move to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while the Mules fall to 5-3 and 2-3 in the league.
 
Kiersten Turner picked up the assist on Woodhouse's goal off a cross. Alexa Yurick added an insurance goal with 4:25 to play when she knocked in a shot from in front. The Polar Bears improve to 36-1-5 all-time against Colby, but had been 0-1-2 in the last three meetings.
 
Bowdoin goalkeeper Bridget McCarthy stopped five shots for the shutout. Emily Brook stopped six shots for the Mules.
