Box Score LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team used a balanced attack to roll to their sixth straight win on Sunday, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-19) over Bates College.
The Polar Bears have won 13 of their last 14 meetings against the Bobcats, and improve to 7-1 (2-0 NESCAC) this fall. Bates remains winless at 0-8 (0-2 NESCAC).
Tory Edelman (nine kills) led four Polar Bears with seven or more kills in the victory. Sophia Cornew handed out 31 assists and added four kills against zero attack errors. Kristin Hanczor had eight kills and a match-high five blocks, while Emese Gaal and Melissa Haskell totaled seven kills apiece.
The Bobcats received seven kills apiece by Emma Getsinger and Chrissy Gee, along with 21 assists by Tess Walther and three service aces by Nicole Russell.
After three wins in as many days, Bowdoin will return to action next Friday at home against Colby-Sawyer.
