BRUNSWICK, Maine - The tenth-ranked Middlebury College women's tennis team edged
12th-ranked Bowdoin, 6-3, in match played at the Pickard Field Tennis Courts Saturday. The Polar Bears fall to 8-4 (3-3 NESCAC) while the Panthers improve to 8-1 (4-0 NESCAC).
The Polar Bears were able to take a point at #1 doubles thanks to a 9-7 win from Kellen Alberstone and Kate Winingham. Alberstone also earned a point at #1 singles with a 6-1, 7-5 win while Chantalle Lavertu claimed a point at #5 singles with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Bowdoin will return to the court Wednesday afternoon at Bates College at 4:00 p.m.
