The senior guard is connecting on 43.2% of her shots from the floor and 40.2% from beyond the three-point arc this season. Morse High School graduate Jill Henrikson returned from an injury-shortened sophomore campaign to post a phenomenal junior year in 2010-11. One of Bowdoin's steadiest offensive contributors, she averaged 11.2 points per contest and saw double-figures in 14 games this season. She ranked 10th overall in the NESCAC in scoring and leads the league in three-point percentage (.434) while knocking down a team-best 43 trifectas. She also stands seventh in the league with a .782 free-throw percentage.
Shibles has seamlessly sustained Bowdoin's success on the hardwood since taking the reins three years ago. She has reached 70 career wins faster than any coach in program history and extended Bowdoin's string of consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances to 11. In her first three years, she has a NESCAC Championship to her credit and a pair of NCAA "Sweet Sixteen" berths. It is the second time that the Mount View and Bates College grad has earned Maine State Coach of the Year.
