Men's Soccer Plays Hamilton To A Scoreless Draw

Box Score

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College and Hamilton College men's soccer teams played to a scoreless draw at Pickard Field on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears stand at 4-4-3 (1-4-2 NESCAC) while the Continentals move to 3-6-3 (1-5-2 NESCAC).

The game proved to be a battle of the goaltenders, as Hamilton's Eric Boole and Bowdoin's Will Wise traded sensational stops to keep the game scoreless through 110 minutes of play. The shots were dead-even 13-13 and Hamilton held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Boole made three saves while Wise stopped six, including the best opportunity for either team in overtime.

With five minutes left in the second overtime session, Hamilton broke free with a 3-on-2 where a nifty cross found the head of Griffin Abbott, who seem poised to win the game, only to have Wise making a sprawling stop to preserve the tie.
