Nationally-Ranked Polar Bears Cruise To Three-Set Victory Over Colby

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team continued its recent dominance over Colby, earning its 13th consecutive win over the Mules in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-15) decision on Wednesday night.

The Polar Bears, ranked 25th nationally in the latest AVCA Division III poll, extend their winning streak to 15 matches and stand at 16-1 overall this fall. Colby falls to 7-9 this season.

Kristin Hanczor posted 10 kills and five blocks while Hillary Cederna notched eight kills and nine digs for the Polar Bears. Tory Edelman added four kills and three service aces and Sophia Cornew dished out 31 assists for Bowdoin.

Mackie Sewell led Colby with seven kills while Kate Pleasants had 18 assists and 10 digs for the Mules.

Both teams will play at Colby this weekend in a NESCAC Meet.
