Bowdoin Surpasses Century Mark in Victory Over Presque Isle

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Every Bowdoin player scored as the Polar Bear men's basketball team posted their highest point total since 2003 in a 113-58 victory over UMaine-Presque Isle on Thursday evening. The Polar Bears win their seventh consecutive game to improve to 10-2. The Owls fall to 2-8 with the loss.

Will Hanley led all scorers with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals for the Polar Bears. Ryan O'Connell (14), Andrew Madlinger (14), Randy DeFeo (12) and Justin Nowell (12) also saw double digits for Bowdoin, who connected on 12 three-pointers. Clifford McDonald and Chris Coffin led Presque Isle with 10 points apiece.

Bowdoin carried a 52-30 lead into halftime thanks to 14 first-half points from Hanley. The Polar Bears held a 49-21 edge on the break and assisted on 29 of their 45 field goals.

The Polar Bears will open their conference season on Saturday when they travel to play at Colby at 2:00 p.m.
