WHEATON, Ill. - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team lost
a pair of close matches during the opening day of the Wheaton
(Ill.) College Invitational on Friday. The Polar Bears, who had won
four-straight entering the tourney, fell to Benedictine, 3-1, and
Carroll, 3-2, to drop to 6-4 overall this season.
Bowdoin lost by set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 11-25, 25-23 to
Benedictine. Carroll edged the Polar Bears by scores of 25-20,
18-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-9.
The team will return to action with two more games on Saturday
at Wheaton.
