WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team
slammed Colby in their conference-opener on Friday evening, 3-0.
The Polar Bears cruised by set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-15.
Melissa Haskell was nearly unstoppable for the Polar Bears (4-2,
1-0 NESCAC), racking up 12 kills and 10 digs. Bowdoin also received
10 kills from Hillary Cederna, 19 assists from Stephanie Bond, 17
digs and 14 assists by Margot Roux, and 18 digs from Taylor Vail.
First-year setter Kate Pleasants led Colby (3-2 overall, 0-1
NESCAC) with 19 assists and 18 defensive digs.
Bowdoin will return to action Saturday morning at Colby when they
will face rival Bates at 11:00 a.m. in another conference
match.
