BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team
placed fourth at the Endicott Invitational after going 1-1 in a
pair of matches on Saturday. The Polar Bears (2-2) defeated Salve
Regina, 3-0, before dropping to Middlebury, 3-0.
For her performance over the weekend, Melissa Haskell was named to
the All-Tournament team.
Against Salve, Bowdoin cruised 25-19, 25-13, 25-15. Stephanie Drumright got the Polar Bears started with six services aces while
also adding six kills. Ellie Brennan and Haskell had eight kills
apiece while Stephanie Bond collected 18 assists.
Bowdoin held a 21-13 lead in game one against Middlebury, but
couldn't finish off the Panthers, falling 25-23 in the opener and
then dropping a pair of close games, 25-23 25-19.
