MEDFORD, Mass. - The 13th-ranked Bowdoin College women's
tennis team bowed to 11th-ranked Tufts, 6-3, in their
regular-season finale on Saturday. The Polar Bears finish their
regular season with a record of 9-6 (3-4 NESCAC) and will learn
their pairings for the upcoming NESCAC Championship Tournament
early next week.
On Saturday, Tufts won two of the three doubles matches to carry a
one-point lead into singles play. The Jumbos then claimed four of
the six singles points to clinch the victory. Bowdoin's Elizabeth
Pedowitz and Nikka Kuna won at #3 doubles while Brett Davis and
Hannah Hoerner earned the singles points for the Polar Bears at #3
and #6, respectively.
