GAME ONE BOX SCORE
GAME TWO BOX SCORE

WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College softball team racked up a pair of mercy-rule wins at Thomas on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 25-9, reaching the second-most wins in a single season in program history. Bowdoin took a 10-0 win in five innings in game one before coasting to a 10-2 win in the second contest.

Clare Ronan hit a pair of home runs to lead Bowdoin to the win in game one, and finished with three hits and three RBI. Amy Hackett also homered, posted three hits and had three RBI and runs scored for the Polar Bears. Kara Nilan also reached base three times for Bowdoin, who received five scoreless innings in the circle from Tricia Thibodeau, who permitted just three hits and whiffed six.

Bowdoin continued their onslaught in the nightcap as Molly Nestor blasted a two-run home run to get the Polar Bears going. Nilan racked up three more hits in game two, as did Lauren Coven. Gen Barlow had a team-high three RBI. Nilan got the win in the circle by tossing four innings and allowing one run.

The Polar Bears, who are one win away from tying the program record for wins in a season, will open a key three-game NESCAC East Division set at home against Trinity on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
