BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team
dismissed Colby 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon. The Polar Bears, ranked
11th nationally and third in New England, improve to 9-3 this
season (2-1 NESCAC). The Mules fall to 7-5 overall (2-3
NESCAC).
Kellen Alberstone led the Bowdoin effort with a perfect afternoon,
blanking Colby's Caroline Reaves in their #2 singles match (6-0,
6-0) after teaming with Brett Davis to dismiss Colby's #2 doubles
pairing 8-0 earlier in the afternoon.
The Polar Bears will travel to play at 15th-ranked Middlebury in a
key NESCAC match this Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
