REDLANDS, Calif. - The 16th-ranked Bowdoin College women's
tennis team dominated singles play in a 7-2 win at 17th-ranked
University of Redlands on Friday. The Polar Bears improve to 3-1
this spring with the victory.
Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, the Polar Bears overwhelmed the
Bulldogs in singles play, only losing one set in six matches.
Against a pair of nationally-ranked opponents, Emily Lombardi
cruised at the top singles spot, taking a 6-2, 6-2 win before
Kellen Alberstone took a 6-4, 7-5 win at #2.
Brett Davis, Chantalle Lavertu, Hannah Hoerner and Nikku Kuna
rounded out the singles victors for Bowdoin while Kuna and Lavertu
teamed to win the lone doubles point for the Polar Bears at #3.
