MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Amherst College women's volleyball team handled Bowdoin College in a 3-0 decision on Saturday in a match played at Middlebury College. The Polar Bears succumbed by set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-18 and fall to 12-7 (5-2 NESCAC) this season.

First-year Ellie Brennan continued to be a bright spot for the Polar Bears, collecting a team-high 10 kills. Kristin Hanczor (eight kills) and Melissa Haskell (seven kills) also led the Bowdoin attack while Stephanie Bond posted 23 assists and Taylor Vail had 16 digs.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday night when they host a key NESCAC match at Morrell Gymnasium against Tufts University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
