LEWISTON, Maine - The Bates College volleyball team rallied past
Bowdoin in a 3-2 decision at Alumni Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
The Bobcats, who prevailed by game scores of 23-25, 25-22, 17-25,
25-20, 15-7, improve to 4-3 while the Polar Bears fall to 5-2 this
season.
Leading the way for Bowdoin was sophomore Kristin Hanczor with 14
kills. Senior Gillian Page and first-year Melissa Haskell both
provided 12 kills. Senior Jenna Diggs recorded 44 assists. Bates
sophomore Grace Haessler led the Bobcats with 46 assists and eight
digs. Senior Tess Dokus collected 14 kills for the Bobcats.
The Polar Bears will play next at the MIT Invitational this
weekend in Cambridge.
