MEDFORD, Mass. - The Bowdoin College volleyball team suffered
their first setback of the season in their NESCAC opener on Friday
night, falling to Connecticut College 3-1 in a match played at
Tufts University. The Polar Bears (4-1, 0-1 NESCAC) dropped by
scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-15, 25-19 and will look to bounce back
against Wesleyan Saturday morning at 11:00 at Tufts.
Gillian Page continued her recent hot play, scoring 10 kills to
lead the Polar Bears and notching a team-high 17 digs. Kristin
Hanczor notched eight kills while Stephanie Drumright collected six
blocks. Stephanie Bond keyed the attack with 17 assists and Melissa
Haskell was second on the squad with nine digs.
