WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team
cruised past Colby in a 9-0 victory on Wednesday evening. The
18th-ranked Polar Bears are 6-5 overall and 3-1 in NESCAC play,
while Colby is 3-7 and 1-3 in the league. With the victory, Bowdoin
completed a sweep of their in-state rivals Bates and Colby to win
the C-B-B Championship.
Emily Lombardi won at first singles and teamed with Sarah
D'Elia for a win at first doubles to lead the Polar Bears.
Bowdoin will host Middlebury on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in their
next match.
