Men's Squash Sweeps Final Weekend of Regular Season

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's squash team extended their season-best winning streak to four with a trio of home victories last weekend at the Lubin Family Squash Center. The Polar Bears downed Tufts (7-2), MIT (9-0) and Northeastern (8-1) in impressive fashion to close out their regular season with a record of 9-12. Bowdoin will return to action on February 20 at the CSA Team National Tournament hosted by Princeton University. Draws will be announced later this week.

Andrew Bernard and David Funk dominated the top of the ladder for the Polar Bears, both posting 3-0 records at the number one and two spots, respectively. Funk collected a trio of sweeps and did not lose a single game in any of his victories. Peter Cipriano collected three-straight 3-0 decisions at the number four spot, as did Thai Ha-Ngoc at number six and Arun Makhija at the seventh position. Robert Lynn collected a 3-0 record at the number five slot for Bowdoin.

Lynn concludes the regular season tied for the team-lead with 10 victories. Rahul Madan Mohan also earned 10 wins this season with Cipriano finishing at nine victories overall.
