BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's squash team extended
their season-best winning streak to four with a trio of home
victories last weekend at the Lubin Family Squash Center. The Polar
Bears downed Tufts (7-2), MIT (9-0) and Northeastern (8-1) in
impressive fashion to close out their regular season with a record
of 9-12. Bowdoin will return to action on February 20 at the CSA
Team National Tournament hosted by Princeton University. Draws will
be announced later this week.
Andrew Bernard and David Funk dominated the top of the ladder for
the Polar Bears, both posting 3-0 records at the number one and two
spots, respectively. Funk collected a trio of sweeps and did not
lose a single game in any of his victories. Peter Cipriano
collected three-straight 3-0 decisions at the number four spot, as
did Thai Ha-Ngoc at number six and Arun Makhija at the seventh
position. Robert Lynn collected a 3-0 record at the number five
slot for Bowdoin.
Lynn concludes the regular season tied for the team-lead with 10
victories. Rahul Madan Mohan also earned 10 wins this season with
Cipriano finishing at nine victories overall.
