BEVERLY, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team
notched their first win of the season, capturing an opening-round
match over Keene State Friday evening at the Endicott Invitational.
The Polar Bears claimed a 3-1 victory with game scores of 25-14,
25-20, 22-25, 25-23.
In her first career match, Bowdoin freshman Kristin Hanczor led the
kill effort with nine, while junior Jenna Diggs had 31 assists and
21 digs. Kelsey Howe and Stephanie Drumright had six blocks apiece
in the win.
The Polar Bears advance in the winner's bracket to play Salve
Regina at noon Saturday. The winner will face the Eastern
Conn.-Endicott winner at 4:00 for the Invitational title.
