Gould's Career High Highlights Bowdoin Victory

BANGOR, Maine - Bowdoin first-year Ellery Gould scored a career-high 20 points to lead the women's basketball team in a 77-59 victory over Husson on Tuesday night. Leah Rubega also posted her fourth double-double of the season as the Polar Bears improved to 5-2 overall this year. Husson drops to 1-4 overall.

The Polar Bears held a 42-29 lead at halftime and forced 24 turnovers in the victory. Gould's 20 lead all scorers while Leah Rubega notched her second-straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Katie Bergeron also reached double figures for Bowdoin, scoring 11. Senior captain Alexa Kaubris made her season debut, scoring four points in four minutes.

Bowdoin held a 37-27 edge on the glass in the victory. The Polar Bears will return to action on Thursday at Colby-Sawyer College. Bowdoin has won eight straight against Husson dating back to 1989.
