BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team
earned their first NESCAC win of the season, capturing a
hard-fought 3-2 decision over Colby on Wednesday evening. The Polar
Bears (9-5, 1-2 NESCAC) took the victory by game scores of 24-26,
25-19, 25-23, 20-25 and 15-10. The Mules fall to 5-7 (0-3
NESCAC).
Bowdoin's Kristin Hanczor buried a game and career-high 18 kills in
the win, with support from Gillian Page who collected 11 kills.
Jenna Diggs dispensed 36 assists while earning 27 digs. Colby was
led by Andrea Rosengarten's 15 kills and 16 digs while Jenny
Lawrence had 41 assists. Larissa Levine led all players with five
blocks.
Both teams will return to action this weekend at the Midcoast
Classic co-hosted by Bates and Bowdoin.
