BRUNSWICK, Maine - In what is becoming an increasingly
NESCAC-dominated poll, the Bowdoin College field hockey team (5-2)
improved one spot from number 14 to number 13 in the national poll
released on Monday by the National Field Hockey Coaches
Association.
The Polar Bears defeated Tufts 2-1 in Medford, Mass. on Saturday
in their only contest of the week. Bowdoin returns to action on
Tuesday afternoon when they host Southern Maine. They will face
Conn. College at home on Saturday afternoon.
This week's national poll features five NESCAC teams, including
Middlebury (2), Bowdoin (13), Williams (15), Amherst (17) and Colby
(20.)
