Casey Ellis

A 2002 Bowdoin graduate, Casey (Kelley) Ellis is entering her 6th year as an assistant track coach at Bowdoin.  A two-season track captain for the women's team, she established a school record in the triple jump and placed 13th in the 2002 NCAA Championships. She was the ECAC champion in the triple jump in 2000, and a NESCAC All-Academic Athlete in 2001. She also competed for Bowdoin in the javelin and heptathlon.  After college she earned a Master's degree in Education from Stanford University, where she also worked in graduate admissions. From 2008 through 2010, Ellis was an assistant track coach at Colby. At Bowdoin, Ellis coaches the throwing events. Her athletes have earned All-American honors in the hammer throw, as well as All-New England III honors in the shot put, discus, javelin, weight throw, long jump, triple jump, heptathlon, & pentathlon. During her tenure at Bowdoin, her athletes have broken school records in the hammer throw, long jump, and triple jump.  Currently, Ellis holds two USATF Level II certifications in the throws and jumps.
