Abe Woldeslassie

Assistant coach Abe Woldeslassie will begin his third year atBowdoin College in 2012-13. A 2008 graduate of Division IIIMacalester College, Woldeslassie averaged 17.2 points and 5.4assists per game and was twice named First Team All-MIAC (MinnesotaIntercollegiate Athletic Conference), leading the league in assistson two occasions. Prior to college, he was an All-Conferenceperformer and team co-MVP at St. Thomas Academy.

Woldeslassie broke into the coaching ranks following graduation,earning an assistant coach position at Impact Basketball, one ofthe premier basketball training facilities in the world. Inaddition to recruiting prospective student-athletes, he was activein on-court player development and assisted with the 2008 and 2009NBA Pre-Draft workouts. He also served as co-director of the 2009Impact Basketball Classic, a 14-team event held in Las Vegas. Inthe summer of 2009, he held a head coaching position at theBasketball Training Institute in Pasadena, California.

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Woldeslassie graduated fromMacalester with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
