Bowdoin College

Former Maine high school standout Toby Martin joined Bowdoin asan assistant coach in the summer of 2014.

A three-time Kennebec Valley Conference Player of the Year andtwo-time All-State selection at Maranacook, Martin played DivisionII basketball at Franklin Pierce University where she helped leadthe Ravens to the 2009 Northeast-10 Conference Championship and apair of NCAA Regional titles. In 2009, she was named to the NCAARegional All-Tournament team as Franklin Pierce advanced to thenational championship game.

After graduation, Martin played professionally in Germany forthree years for the Qtsu Dragons, twice leading the league inscoring. She comes to Bowdoin after two years as an assistant coachat the University of Southern Maine, where she served under headcoach Gary Fifield. During her time with the Huskies, she helpedlead the team to a pair of 20-win seasons, including an NCAATournament berth in 2013.
