2015-2016: Elected captain for the 2016-2017 season...Anchored the 800 free relay to a 6th place finish at NESCACs.

2014-2015: Won the 50 backstroke C final at NESCACs, recording a personal best...Recorded personal bests in the 100 and 200 freestyle...Member of the 800 free relay at NESCACs.

2013-2014: Recorded personal bests in the 100 and 200 free...Member of the 800 free B relay at NESCACs.

Michael Given is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia where he successfully graduated from St. Anne’s-Belfied School. He swims mainly freestyle and backstroke, and specializes in sprinting. His favorite color is blue. Michael’s meal of choice at Bowdoin College is the sundaes Wednesdays at Thorne Dining Hall. At Bowdoin, Michael hopes to pursue a degree in engineering as he enjoys both math and science (especially organic chemistry). During his summers Michael likeds to spends his time at a pool lifeguarding. An interesting fact about Michael is that he played intramural football at one point in time.
