Tomas Fortson

The fall of 2018 will mark the 16th season for Tomas Fortson as head coach of the Bowdoin men's golf team. Fortson brings a wealth of coaching experience to the task, having been at the helm of Bowdoin's squash program since 2000.

Fortson and his team practice and play the annual Bowdoin Invitational at the Brunswick Golf Club, which has established itself as one of the more challenging courses in the state.

A world-class squash player, Fortson became a professional hardball player in 1985 and through the mid-90's consistently held a top 30 world ranking. In hardball he was a finalist in the World Professional Squash Association Teaching Pro Championships and was the United States "B" Hardball Champion in 1981. Fortson has also won the Venezuelan National Softball Championship three times, the Massachusetts State Softball Championship twice and the Southern Caribbean Softball Championship.

In both 2010 and 2012, Coach Fortston led the Men's Golf team to a CBB Championship.
