Ian Squiers

Ian Squiers, a 2019 graduate of Bowdoin, joined the Polar Bear coaching staff as an assistant for first-year head coach Theo Woodward in the fall of 2019. A decorated player for the Polar Bears, Squiers played exclusively at the number one position for the last two and half years of his career. He is the only player in program history to be named All-NESCAC in all four years and earned First Team All-NESCAC recognition as a junior when he helped lead the Polar Bears to the Conroy Cup at CSA Nationals. In addition to his playing career, Squiers has been a coach at the Squash & Beyond Camps hosted by Williams College and has organized and led weekly sessions for open community clinics at the Portland Community Squash Center.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, and graduate of Miami Valley School, Squiers graduated from Bowdoin with a double-major in Computer Science and Physics.
