Rory Finnegan

Rory Finnegan joined the Bowdoin coaching staff in the spring of 2017. He comes to the Polar Bears from Hampden-Sydney (Va.) College, where he was the goaltending coach during the 2016 season. He joined the Tigers after a four-year career at Virginia Wesleyan College. During his time with the Marlins, he was a two-year starter in net, as well as a two-year captain. Finnegan posted 424 saves over his career, to go along with a .570 save percentage. He recorded 19 wins, and led the Marlins to an in-conference program record of seven victories in 2015. He posted career highs in saves against Greensboro College (30) in 2014 and against Guilford College (28) in 2015. He graduated from Virginia Wesleyan with a degree in international studies.
