Max Silberlicht

Max Silberlicht was named assistant coach of the Bowdoin men'slacrosse team in the summer of 2012.

Silberlicht comes to the Polar Bears from Lynchburg (Va.) College,where he was an offensive assistant for the last two seasons. Hejoined the Hornets in 2010 after an outstanding career at DivisionI Hobart (N.Y.). A three and a half year starter for the Statesmenbetween the pipes, he climbed the ranks of the school's recordbooks.  For his career, he posted a 9.24 goals against averagewith 18 wins, both program records.  He recorded 553 saveswith a .576 save percentage, both of which are second all-time atthe school. In 2008 he broke the Hobart single season goals againstaverage (8.05), and then broke his own record the following year(7.91).  Max is also a two time recipient of the C.R.A.G.Outstanding Defensive Player award ('09 and '10), while also beingrecognized as the senior co-Athlete of the Year for HobartCollege.

Silberlicht earned his Masters' degree in Educational Leadershipfrom Lynchburg. In addition to his duties with the men's lacrosseprogram, Silberlicht will also assume additional duties in theBowdoin Sports Information Office.
