Tim Viall arrived at Bowdoin in the summer of 2016 and will serve as offensive coordinator for the Polar Bears. Viall comes to Bowdoin from MIT, where he joined in 2011 and served as offensive coordinator for the Engineers since 2013. He helped guide a prolific, record-setting offense over the last three years at MIT as the Engineers set single-season records in points and total yards in 2014. He also guided 18 players to All-Conference honors and served under head coach Chad Martinovich, who was twice named New England Football Conference Coach of the Year. Viall graduated from Endicott College in 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in physical education. He was three-year starter at tight end for the Gulls football squad under now-head Bowdoin coach JB Wells. He was an All-New England Football Conference selection in 2008 and, as a senior in 2009, he was a team captain and was named Endicott's offensive MVP.
