Back for his sixth year on the coaching staff is Matt Leotti, a 2010 graduate of Bowdoin who made his collegiate coaching debut as an assistant coach of the defensive backs for the Polar Bears in 2011. After stints coaching the linebackers and defensive backs, Leotti has recently moved to the offensive side of the ball. After heading up the running backs and tight ends in 2015, he will assume wide receiver coaching duties this season. A talented defensive back while playing for Bowdoin, he was named as a co-captain for the 2009 season. As a senior, he was third on the team with 48 tackles and made two interceptions, including a touchdown return against Bates. A decorated three-sport athlete at the Delbarton School, he majored in Government and Legal Studies at Bowdoin. He remained active as a player following graduation, competing for the Trenton franchise in the Southern Indoor Football League and for the Laredo Rattlesnakes of the Lone Star Football League. Leotti also played for the Harrisburg Stampede of American Indoor Football (AIF), helping the squad to the league championship.
