Really Grand Finals at NE’s!

Bowdoin placed all six of its entries into the Grand Finals at the New England Rowing Championships on May 3, and came away with a gold, two silvers, a bronze, and two 4th place finishes!

Great Rowing at Greater Boston

At the Greater Boston Invitational on the Merrimack at Lowell, the Bowdoin Navy again showed speed and determination. We earned top three finishes in all eight events we entered, with 3 firsts, 4 seconds and a third.

Spring Season 2014

After a great spring break at Camp Bob Cooper we are back to the frozen north! Ice in the river has delayed installation of docks, but we are hard at work back on the ergs while we wait for the thaw.

Strong Showing at the Snake

At the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta in Worcester on 10/12, the Bowdoin Navy snagged one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals in a great day of racing.

Textile Medal Haul

Steady rain throughout the day could not dampen the spirits or speed of the Bowdoin Navy at the 34th Textile River Regatta in Lowell, MA on Sunday. With 10 boats in 6 events, we pulled in 3 gold, 2 silver, and a bronze for a great day of time trial racing.

Opening days 2013

Our Opening Days bring some 27 new rowers and coxswains to the Navy for our 2 week “try it out” session. With several of our juniors abroad this term, we’re thrilled with the turnout! The upper boats have been hard at work preparing for racing in October.

The Henley Royal Regatta

After a terrific week of training we entered the Opening Round of Prince Albert Cup with high hopes for a deep run into the regatta. But it was not to be. The men rowed level with Edinburgh for the first half of the race but couldn't match the Scots’ higher rate over the end.

New England Championships!

At the New England Rowing Championships on May 4th at historic Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA, the Bowdoin Navy dominated the six events for four oared crews by winning four of the events and finishing third and fourth in the other two races. The team finished 7th out of 32 schools in total points without competing in any of the events for eights.
