BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin sophomore Kate Kiser (Ingleside, Ill.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.
It is the fourth straight week that a Bowdoin player has earned the league's weekly honor as the red-hot Polar Bears have matched the program's best-ever start at 18-1 this fall.
Kiser sparked the Polar Bears to a pair of road wins last week. She averaged 11.33 assists and 1.78 digs per set, while also registering seven kills. At Endicott, she racked up 56 assists, 10 digs, and three kills. She followed it up with a 46-assist effort with four kills and two service aces in a come-from-behind win over Middlebury. She currently stands second in the league overall at 10.03 assists per set but ranks first in league play at 10.63.
Kiser and the Polar Bears return to action on Tuesday evening as they host Bates in a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m. in Morrell Gymnasium.
