Women's 4x400 Relay Earns All-American Status at NCAA Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's 4x400 meter relay team earned All-American status and set a new school record at the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday evening.

Seeded 12th heading into the championship, the Polar Bears posted their second school record-time in as many days, taking sixth place in 3:52.21.

Emma Beane opened with a 58.2 in the first leg, followed by Morgen Gallagher's 58.1-second leg. Sam Schaefer covered it in 57.6 while Sara Ory capped her second All-American honor of the weekend with a 57.2 to close it out for Bowdoin.

Ory ran three 400's in 22 hours, capturing a pair of All-American honors this weekend and improving her overall total to three.
