Women's Track & Field Qualifies Two Relay Squads For Nationals

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Two Bowdoin College women's relay teams have qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship in selections announced on Sunday. The Polar Bears will compete at the championship in Boston, hosted at the Reggie Lewis Center.  

Bowdoin's distance medley relay team of Delaney Bullock, Sara Ory, Claire Traum and Caroline Shipley grabbed a trip to NCAA's thanks to a season-best time of 11:46.73 in the event, which is ninth in the nation heading into nationals. The Polar Bears won this event at the 2018 NCAA Championship.

The 4x400 meter relay squad of Emma Beane, Morgen Gallagher, Samantha Schaefer and Ory also qualified thanks to their time of 3:51.76, qualifying as the final team into the field.

The events will be back-to-back on Friday evening with the prelims of the 4x400 scheduled for 8:05 p.m. and the DMR slated for 8:45. If they qualify for the finals, the 4x400 is the final event at the championship on Saturday evening at 5:10 p.m.
