Women's Tennis Pins 8-1 Setback on Colby

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 NESCAC win over Colby on Wednesday afternoon.

The Polar Bears rebound to 10-3 (5-1 NESCAC). The Mules drop to 6-6 (1-4 NESCAC).

Match Highlights

  • Bowdoin cruised to a quick 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles. Both Julia Marks/Devon Wolfe at #1 and Sasa Jovanovic/Fleming Landau at #3 picked up 8-3 wins.
  • Tasha Christ/Izzy Essi went 8-2 at #2.
  • Jovanovic made quick work at five, going 6-0, 6-0. Landau followed with a 6-0, 6-2 finish at six.
  • In the top spot, Marks won 6-0, 6-4.
  • Wolfe (7-5, 6-4) and Essi (6-0, 7-5) battled for wins at three and four respectively.
