CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team continued its fall tournament schedule this weekend at the ITA New England Regional Championship hosted by MIT.

Tournament Highlights

  • Senior Joulia Likhanskaia led the way for Bowdoin in the singles bracket, winning a pair of matches and advancing to the third round with a win over a Tufts player (6-0, 6-3) and a Babson player (6-2, 6-2) before falling to McDonnell of Williams 6-1, 6-0
  • Likhanskaia also teamed with Samantha Stalder to win a first-round doubles match. Pilar Giffenig/Maddie Rolph and Sarah Shadowens/Tess Trinka also claimed first-round wins before falling in the second round
  • Shadowens also claimed a first-round singles match against a Wesleyan player (7-6, 6-2) before dropping in the second round
