Squash Teams Learn Seeding For Upcoming NESCAC Tournament

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College squash teams have learned their seeding for the upcoming NESCAC Championship Tournaments hosted by Trinity College beginning on Friday. The Polar Bear men are seeded sixth overall while the women's team is seeded eighth.

The men, who currently boast a record of 7-8, will face 11th-seeded Connecticut College on Friday, Ferbruary 4 at 5:00 p.m. in the opening round of the tournament. It will be the Polar Bears' second-straight match against the Camels, who they defeated in a convincing 8-1 victory at home last Sunday, January 30. The winner of Friday's first round match advances to play third-seeded Bates in the second round of the championship on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The women's team has won three-straight matches entering tournament play and finished their regular season with a record of 5-11 to garner the ninth seed in the NESCAC Championship. The Polar Bears will get a second crack at rival Colby, the ninth seed, in the opening round of the tourney on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Bowdoin defeated Colby 6-3 in the team's regular season meeting last Thursday, January 27. The winner of Friday's first-round match gets defending conference champion Trinity at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals.
